I just love going to movies when the theater is basically empty. There's just something I don't miss about the buzz of a packed, excited crowd. Tonight, I went to a movie with some friends of mine and we were 3 of about 9 people in the theater. The movie becomes larger than the theater, and you can lose yourself in it without people smacking their gum, checking their phones, getting bored, or filling the rest of us in on just what they thought about that last scene's hunky actor and who he was recently seen strolling through Hollywood with.
Ahhh yes. Empty theaters. Enjoy hump day tomorrow.
